Former Vikings Player Found Guilty Of Bank Fraud

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A guilty verdict was reached Friday in the bank fraud trial of a former Minnesota Vikings player.

A federal jury convicted Stu Voigt and a business partner of stealing from investors in a multi-million-dollar scheme.

Voigt, who was a tight end for the Vikings in the 1970s, will be sentenced at a later date.

The bank fraud charge carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in federal prison.
